The Weird and Wonderful Bosses of Terraria part 5: Mobile/ Console Bosses
Your PC avatar has journeyed to hell itself and battled the Lord of the Moon! We've brought down a cult, destroyed the idol of the Lizahrds and brought down a giant pirate ship! We've saved the ocean from the beast that dwells below and we have defeated the being made of pure Corruption! But our journey, in the context of Mobile and Console ports have just begun! Be prepared to fear the Green Slimes again and grab a hold of your Copper Shortsword as we jump to the Mobile platform first!
I got the Mobile version for free on Christmas Day 2014 as a free app from Amazon, it was hard to control and I've never faced any of the bosses we'll be covering in the mobile section! First we find ourself fighting a rouge Easter Bunny in the form of Lepus, the bunny that definitley doesn't want to give you a chocolate egg! When playing the game in April, or setting your mobile device's internal clock to April, you will meet a Diseaster Bunny, an enemy that can drop the Suspicious Looking Egg. Lepus can lay eggs, some will contain Diseaster Bunny's and other times it will spawn a second, albeit weaker, Lepus! The strange thing about this boss is that it is quite like King Slime (see part 1 for more information on King Slime) as Lepus can also drop the parts of the Ninja Costume and does not count as a boss in terms of fulfilling the requirements for the Dryad to spawn. For the Dryad to spawn and join your town you must first slay any boss, except Lepus and King Slime.
From Easter to Thanksgiving and we can find Turkor the Ungrateful. This turkey seems to have survivved being roasted, assumedly by giants due to his huge size, and is out for revenge! The head seems to have escaped the roasting completely unscathed but his neck didn't, it's literally the flexible, bony spine of the beast! Turkor the Ungrateful even spawns on a plate surrounded by vegetables! You're going to want to aim for the head, once the head has been destroyed you'll have 25 seconds to attack the cooked body of the Turkey. After 25 seconds Turkor's head will regrow, twice! Each time you defeat the head(s) you'll have to attack the body and after 25 seconds all the heads regrow, and then another one! To summon Turkor the Ungrateful you must have a pet turkey active and use some Cursed Stuffing, doing this will make you lose your pet turkey forever!
On the Console, and the mobile, is Ocram, this boss comes in place of Plantera on the PC. Once all three mechanical bosses have been killed in a world your world will now be ready for the summoning of Ocram! After finding/ crafting a Suspicious Looking Skull, made by using, in part, a Mechanical Eye and a Mechanical Skull, will allow you to summon Ocram who acts similar to the Eye of Cthulhu but much harder! Where the Eye of Cthulhu summons Servants of Cthulhu, Ocram summons Servants of Ocram. He'll also start shooting lasers at you and and will charge you! He'll also shoot the scythes used by the Demons you'll meet in the Underworld!
With that we've reached the end of the bosses from Terraria, unless you count things like the Arch Wyvern which was, at a time, considered a boss, and Pinky who's less of a boss and more of a beginners trap! Terraria is a huge game, a game that was once to all intents and purposes, a dead game! When I joined its ranks in the 1.1.2 update the game had just ended! Skeletron Prime was the final boss! Now the game has soared to new heights and has even given rise to a future sequel! let's hope Terraria 2 has all the elements that made the original so good, and hopefully they have the bosses to match!
