Beyond Hell Valley

We started the Festival of Horror with the Hell Valley Sky Trees from Super Mario Galaxy 2. I told you we would revisit these mysterious beings and today is that day! But be warned, this time were going beyond hell valley...

Our adventure begins with your average Joe Nintendo reading about the Hell Valley Sky Trees and the rest of the creepy stuff we discussed last time and decided he wanted to see the trees himself! he bought a copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2 and played the game until he got to the infamous Shiverburn Galaxy. As we discussed last time this is the first location that you can see the trees but unfortunately for Joe (not real name by the way, I just don't know the actual name) the trees were nowhere to be seen when looking in first person! As you can imagine Joe was disappointed, he went out to buy Super mario Galaxy 2 for this reason! At least he got one of Nintendo's best ever games though, so that's something I guess. Joe went back into third person where he saw Mario surrounded by the Hell Valley Sky Trees!

They grabbed Mario and screamed, a bloodcurling scream of pure terror! Before Joe's very eyes Mario disappeared and the Trees turned to look at the screen, except they weren't, they were looking at Joe! Unlike their usual form, however, the Trees were blood red rather than their usual black! The death music played and the screen faded to black with the last thing to fade being the blood red eyes! Text appeared on the screen: "SEEK NO FURTHER, THOU FOOLISH MAN". Joe, unlike Alex and Tom from the previous creepy stories of BEN Drowned and Sonic.exe respectively turned to the internet for help. The internet, however, was in no mood to help Joe on forums and wherever else Joe could ask for help. He even turned to Nintendo itself but received no reply! Joe decided to call it a night and went to sleep and like Alex and Tom he wished he hadn't!

All Joe could see was darkness, until 6 eyes appeared from the darkness. They turned from white, as they appear in the game, to blood red! Joe was backed into a corner, he could see fangs and they were approaching him! Joe had nowhere left to run! Joe woke up suddenly and found himself in his room at 3 A.M. and his curiosity got the better of him. He booted up his Wii and, unlike usual, the Wii turned straight onto Super Mario Galaxy 2 and what Joe saw shocked him!

In the Super Mario Galaxy series your file is its own planet! You can choose your Mii's face or a selection of Mario characters to distinguish between files. Joe saw his Mii's face on the file select screen frowning, beaten as a scream filled the air! The screen faded into black and Mario, once again with us, appeared on Hell Valley! This place, as we discussed last time, is an unreachable location set to be a fixed distance from Mario, there is no way to get here! Hackers may be able to win big on the Claw Machines but they still can't reach Hell Valley a.k.a. where we see the Trees in the game! Mario was standing in a patch of light shining from an unknown location.

Joe picked up the Nunchuck, not sure why he hadn't until this point seeing as the nunchuck is required to play SMG2, and quickly dropped it! It was ice cold! Colder than ice, the coldest thing Joe had ever handled! Mario limped further into the light through this action and a terrifying scream erupted! Joe could here the sounds of snapping bones! Violently snapping bones! Mario went very pale as the Trees appeared around him. Mario fell to the ground, dead! Joe could here nothing but static as the Trees stared at him. Another screen of text appeared: "WE TOLD THOU TO STOP. THOU DID NOT LISTEN. THOU MUST PAY FOR WHAT THOU HATH DONE". All the power in Joe's house cut out! Joe left one peice of advice: never try to find out about the Hell Valley Sky Trees. Never.
