The History of Herbert the Polar Bear
When you think of pure evil characters in video games you might think about games like Resident Evil or any other entry into the horror genre. Not many of you would probably turn your attention to the MMO Club Penguin!
After your penguin has endured 45 whole days of being an ordianary penguin you'll be given access to two job roles: one being a Tour Guide and the other a Secret Agent! The Secret Agent job role gave your Penguin access to a secret room but the Tour Guide gave you a free hat so both had their advantages. If you took a whirl at Club Penguin you'll know that to buy anything in the catalogues except backgrounds and pins you had to be a member! Want a bigger igloo? You need to be a member! You want more than two puffles? You need to be a member! The eternal frustration made any freebie the game would want to give you a blessing! Anyway, as a Secret Agent you were given special missions, although they weren't that special as every other penguin, almost, had the excact same missions! When you complete the first 4 missions you reach the Mission 5 where we find Herbert the Polar Bear!
Herbert was born in the Arctic Circle and absolutely hated the cold! In 2006 he swam to an iceberg but underwater currents sent him all the way to Club Penguin Island which just so happens to be on the other side of the world! That's some currents! Herbert, however, couldn't swim, how he survived the journey is anyone's guess, and was rescued by a crab named Klutzy. The two became good friends and fled into the wilderness together. They reached a cave that they made their home and rigged it full of traps, just in case. Behind the scenes of Club Penguin 2006 and 2007 Herbert was planning to take over Club Penguin Island and turn it into a warm paradise! The amount of backstory for Herbert surprises me for a character in Club Penguin!
It's believed that whilst living in the cave Herbert grew to despise the Penguins due to their loud music and it was this that turned him from helpless Polar Bear to evil genius! His various plans included stealing hot sauce, brainwashing puffles and becoming a Sith Lord! Herbert the Polar Bear a Sith Lord! He literally became Darth Herbert during Club Penguin's Star Wars take over! Darth Herbert built a Death Star on August 1st 2013 and it blew up on the 8th August 2013! It may have been short lived but he managed to build a Death Star! He worked under Emperor Palpatine too and commanded his own army of Stormtroopers! Next time you decide on Until Dawn or Halo 5 over Club Penguin be warned for Darth Herbert is one with the dark side of the force! You might just wake up one morning to find your planet destroyed! Well you would if the Elite Penguin Force hadn't blown it up!
